Rule 1: cardio

Let the zombies come for the fatties first. Poor bastards. Today was the first good run since my leg freaked out last week. I’ve been on a little bit nervous I wouldn’t recover and miss out on my next half, but as long as I keep from pushing too hard I got it made.
How odd is it that I can twitch, spasm, and contort into all kinds of grotesque ways but still run? You can pick me out of any running crowd, I’m the gimpy looking one. Hell yeah a lot of days it hurts with my foot all twisted. I’m not kidding on how bad it is slowly getting. A few days ago I looked. Like a five year old trying to open a bag of chips. From my neck down both arms to my fingers were not cooperating and it took several tries.
No one thinks about something so routine. And I struggled with it. And I’m not even gonna mention when I can’t seem to hold a fork right. And with with all this jacked up mess and looking like a gimp I still go run.
Not just run, I put down miles. So bring on said zombies. I don’t think they would make it to mile ten. And a half marathon is a ten mile warmup with a 5k at the end. “I ran. He chased me until he dropped” would not be zombie kill of the week, but they do give out medals at half marathons anyway

There's so much and so little time. The two most important things to know is I suffer from a condition caused Generalized Dystonia and that I love to run. Ironically, two things that don't mix are what now defines me. I have a whole variety of other interests such as my long standing devotion to the Texas Rangers. I am also quite the hunter, fisher, and all around outdoorsman. If I had more time and less dystonia pains, I would fit in more gardening, home improvement, and probably some amatuer astronomy. And lastly, while my life is regrettably being slowed down from the dystonia, I am trying my hand at writing. I have a lot of ideas and it would be nice to see if I have what it takes to create some works worthy of publsihing.
